You sure cleaned up in the gift department. You saw both sets of grandparents this weekend and everyone had gifts waiting for you. You have so many toys there are not enough hours in the day to play with them (I imagine you'll get even more for your birthday in a few months). The funny thing was your absolute favorite part of opening gifts was playing with the tissue paper in the packages. You have more gifts coming next week on Christmas from Auntie...oh boy. posted by anonymous

You Learn Something New Everyday
When I was a teenager I was a HUGE fan of James Dean. I had hundreds of pictures of him and saw all of his movies. Over the years my fascination faded, but it keeps on following me. Last year I learned that a diner in our town was where he had his last meal before his tragic car crash in 1955. Today I learned (which I should have known from reading the novel in middle school) that the character he played in the movie 'East Of Eden' was named Caleb (Cal). When we chose your name I did not know this. I think this is just a weird coincidence. posted by anonymous

Disneyland
Well we went to Disneyland and only stayed for about an hour. You seemed to enjoy yourself, but good grief the place was packed. I'm talking you could barely move around and it was just miserable. Grandpa asked for a refund and they gave us tickets to come back again within two years. At least the day wasn't a total loss. You did get mouse ears with your name on them and boy are they cute on you. posted by anonymous

Nine Months
It was nine months ago today that you were born. I know I seem to get sappy every month, but I just can't help it. You are still growing like a weed and amazing me more and more each day. Since Thanksgiving you have been working on your military crawl and now know how to successfully get into everything (including the cat's water bowl). You also have started clapping your hands and copying expressions more.
You really seem interested in music and love all types of musical toys. Hopefully you'll get some talent in that from Daddy's side of the family. We already have a piano and guitar at home waiting for you.
You haven't had any modeling jobs yet, but I think that is because the holidays are coming up and business is slow. We have your work permit and resume in both cars "just in case" you get called for an audition.
Tomorrow is a big day for you, it will be your first trip to Disneyland. I know you won't remember it (which is why I am going to take tons of pictures) but I think you will really enjoy seeing all that there is to see there. posted by anonymous
