I was just reading through the archives here on your blog to see what I had to say this time last year. It is amazing how much my life has changed (for the better) in the past 12 months. It was a year ago yesterday that I announced your pending arrival at work. Now you are almost 6 months old and amazing me more and more every day. You my little boy are by far the most wonderful thing to ever happen to me. Frankly I don't know how I lived 30 years without you. posted by anonymous

What's Shakin Baby
Last night you got to experience your very first earthquake. It was 11:02pm and I was holding you getting ready to put you in your crib. We were standing looking in the mirror (as you so love to do) and bam the house shook with one sharp jolt. Daddy sprang up in bed and asked if that was an earthquake. Indeed it was. It was a small one only 3.9, but a good first one for you. I don't think you felt it or even realized anything was out of the ordinary. I on the other hand was jittery like you would not believe and felt the need to hug you tight for a while longer. A few minutes later you and daddy drifted off to sleep why I was awake surfing the web for hours before finally feeling calm enough to sleep. posted by anonymous

Cleaning House
I took some time this afternoon to tidy up the sidebar a bit. I'm going to add more preggo and baby blog links soon. Also I am thinking of posting pictures on a password protected website. If you are interested in viewing them please email me at lilspecialk2003@yahoo.com. posted by anonymous

Five Months = 153 Days
My baby boy is five months old today. Where has the time gone? He is getting so big and mature. In the past few weeks we have had to reture our 3-6 month size clothes and jump into the 6-9 month size stuff. There were a lot of firsts this month: first vegetables, first swim in a pool (which Caleb loved), first time being sent home from school sick, and first cold (cough cough). The biggest news from this month is that we are now officially in full throttle teething mode. My poor baby is in pain all the time which breaks my heart. We are loving the Anbesol and Teething Tablets right about now. The problem is when you are teething and add a cold (stuffy head and cough) it makes for one unhappy baby.
In other news Caleb is going to meet a whole bunch of relatives from New Jersey this coming weekend. We are having a big BBQ at our house and hopefully he'll be feeling good enough to enjoy it. posted by anonymous

What's Up Doc!
You finished that first jar of peas on Monday night so Tuesday I decided to see if you would like carrots. I gave you a few spoonfuls and you made some funny faces. One spoonful led to another and another until the whole jar was gone. I couldn't believe it you ate a whole jar of baby food in one sitting for the very first time. I'd say that is a milestone. Tonight...more carrots (we're three days on the same food to determine if there are allergies or not). This weekend we'll try green beans...mmm mmm mmm. posted by anonymous
