I took you to my office yesterday so all my coworkers could meet you. I was impressed by how well behaved you were. People were passing you around and you just cooed and stared at them. I think you even tried to smile a couple times. It was really weird being back there for the first time since February. It feels the same as before and made me realize more than ever how special this time you and I have now is. I go back to work towards the end of June which is something I dread. Just the thought of day care makes me sick. Oh how I wish we'd win the lottery and I could stay at home. posted by anonymous

Six Weeks Already
I can't believe six weeks have passed since you blessed us with your presence. Daddy and I are loving every minute with you. It seems you change almost hourly these days. You are getting so big (long and heavy), I can't wait until your doctor appointment on May 9 to find out how much you weigh. I look at pictures of the swet angel who joined us six weeks ago and can't believe it is the same baby. You are starting to look so grown up.
You also have come to peace with you animals. On Sunday you and Monty spent some quality time together and I think I caught you giggling when he was giving you a bath of kisses. As far as Fluffy and Tasha they are surprisingly not bothered by you. I hope you guys are all the best of friends as you get older. posted by anonymous

Sleep Baby Sleep
Yesterday it was pouring rain the entire day and we didn't get a chance to go for our daily walk. I don't know if this is why you didn't take a nap, but you were wide awake 80% of the day (you snuck in a 2 hour snooze). By the time you went to bed at 11pm last night you must have been exhausted because you didn't wake up until 7:30am this morning. Daddy had a doctor appointment this morning so he was home late and we actually got to sleep in (and through the night). My only concern is that you have slept most of today already. Does that mean you'll be wide awake tonight...yikes. posted by anonymous

Time Sure Flies
Happy one month birthday little Caleb. I can't believe you are a whole month old already. It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital in labor waiting to meet you. You are such a joy to daddy and I. Last night you gave us a real present, you didn't wake up for your middle of the night feeding until 6:10am. Thats right you slept from 11:30pm - 6:10am without waking up. What a big boy you are.
Today we took you to the mall for your mone month portraits and you were a perfect angel. You really like to pose for the camera. The lady at the studio was so impressed and thought you were much older than you are. That made us so proud. posted by anonymous

Four Weeks Ago Tonight
I can't believe you are already four weeks old. It seems so long ago that I was in labor and having my c-section. You are such a great baby, we are really lucky. You only cry when you are hungry and you only wake up once during the night. In the middle of the night your drink your bottle get a clean diaper and go back to bed for about three more hours. I can't tell you how much I love you for that. You also are showing signs of advancement already. You are so alert and always looking around at everything. Daddy has been spending a lot of "tummy time" with you and it looks like you are already working on the whole crawling thing. I say you'll be mobile in no time.
Your one month birthday is this Saturday and we are going to take you to have your first portraits taken. I can't wait. I just love showing you off to all our friends and family, everyone can't get over how adorable you are. I know I'm biased but you are probably the cutest baby I have ever seen. posted by anonymous
