Half Baked

Today we are officially half way through this pregnancy. As I begin week 21 it seems that you can hear already. I think I am going to start reading some Curious George books to you soon. I haven't felt much movement from you since yesterday, anytime you want to shake your groove thing and let me know your awake if alright with me. Its hard to believe that withing 16-22 weeks you will be at home with me and daddy. We can't wait to meet you.

I Finally Felt You Move

After a few weeks of feeling occasional movement from you I finally felt a good kick this morning (at least I think thats what I felt). I was sitting in my glider watching A Baby Story and all of a sudden I felt my whole abdomen shift. It felt like your foot that caused all the movement. Since then I've been feeling quite a bit of flutters and little movements, but none quite like that. You sure are a silly boy. I also hope this means you are considering sitting in a different position preferably off of my bladder.

Also, Daddy & I finally decided on your name. We've decided not to share it with the world until you make your grand entrance.

It's A.....

We had our ultrasound today and learned that Lil Baby K is a...BOY! We are all thrilled. We also learned that my AFP blood test came out negative and I got to hear his little heartbeat pounding away at 154bpm. So far our little guy is perfect.

I'm not 100% sure yet, but I have a feeling we are now a week ahead of our original due date. From the numbers I saw coming up on the screen during the ultrasound and based on his current measurement of 180mm it seems that we may actually be in week 21, not week 20. I won't be able to confirm that until our next ultrasound visit on 11/05. For now we are going to stick to our 03/18 due date.

Happy Birthday

Today is Daddy's 30th birthday and yesterday was Auntie Stephs 30th birthday. Its funny how they were born a day apart. Unfortunately Daddy has to work all day so we can't celebrate his birthday until maybe next week. Tonight Auntie is having a big party and I'm going to go there and the bring a surprise home for Daddy when he gets off work.

Even with all this excitement I admit I can't wait until Wednesday when I get to see you again (it will be the first time for Daddy). I also found out this week that I'll see you again on Nov 5 when I have an ultrasound with a Perinatalogist to have your little heart check really good. I am so lucky that I'll get to see you twice in two weeks...its so exciting.

Also, I have decided I am also going to register at Target too. I guess I'll go start that next week. It is amazing how much stuff you are going to need. Oh and last but certainly not least my glider and ottoman came this week. Your Great Grandparents bought it for me as an early birthday present and I absolutely LOVE it. The chair is so comfy I practically fall asleep everytime I sit down. Tasha (our kitty) loves it too shes always on my lap when I'm sitting in the chair. But don't worry baby shes only keeping my lap warm until you arrive then it will be you an me rocking all the time.

One More Week

Today we start week 19 and a week from tomorrow we will hopefully know if you are a boy or a girl. Daddy and I went to Babies R Us on Friday night and registered for many of the things we will need to take care of you when you come home. I am going to go back with Grandma C. to finish off because Daddy got tired halfway through the store and I had to stop shopping. A week from tomorrow we go for our Level II ultrasound. I can't wait to find out if you are a boy or a girl. I think knowing that will make everything seem more real to me.

A Busy Week For Baby

Today we are going to have our AFP Testing done. I'm not too worried about it and am confident everything will come back showing you are a healthy little bugger. Yesterday I started week 18, here is what is happening this week according to Baby Center. Only two more weeks until our big ultrasound where we find out if you are a boy or a girl, I am so excited.

Not much else happening around here. I am starting to look a bit like a rolly polly and have trouble bending over to tie my shoes...what will I do? I haven't felt you move yet, at least not that I know of. I'm sure when you are ready you'll give me a good kick in the ribs to say good morning.

Oh The Cravings

Silly baby you are craving some of Grandpa C's homemade pancakes this afternoon. Never in my life have I had a uncontrolable desire for pancakes at 4:30pm. Unfortunately I don't have time to go to Grandma & Grandpa's house tonight so if we are going to have pancakes I'm cooking (not necessarily a good thing). Can't you crave something more practical like a frozen pizza? I'm great at whipping one of those up.

Another Week Done & I Feel Icky Again

We have moved on to week 17 today. I can't believe I am already 16 weeks pregnant. Four more weeks and you'll be hald baked...woo hoo. The past couple days I have had a replay of earlier morning sickness I thought I had passed forever. I haven't been "sick" but just not feeling great. I am also back to getting the nasty taste in my mouth after eating that requires a good rinse with mouthwash after meals. Last night I was having a heck of a time getting comfy in bed. Even my groovy pillow wasn't helping. Funny thing is that Daddy sure seems to like the pillow. Maybe we'll have to get him his own.
