Even though I have that wonderful Snoogle pillow last night I woke up at 3am sleeping on my stomach. I haven't done that in weeks and have no idea how I even got into that position. This morning baby decided to get revenge for being squished half the night. I nearly got car sick on my way to work and just feel overall sickly. I just ate some French Toast as an attempt to make peace with baby and feel a bit better, but not great. I promise I'll try not to sleep on my belly again until after you are born. posted by anonymous

Aloha Little One
Mommy & Daddy just came home from a wonderful vacation in Hawaii. We had such a great time. We even bought a book of baby names while we were there and tried to decide on what we want to call you when we finally meet you. All I can say is that if you are a girl you have a name, but should you be a boy you may name yourself...yikes!
I went to the doctor today and you are growing well. I heard your heartbeat for the first time, it was 148 beats per minute. I didn't gain any weight this month (not a surprise since Grandma only gained 9 lbs with me) and my blood pressure was good. Also, while I was on vacation my back wasn't hurting and my ankles didn't swell. I am convinced that those problems are caused by sitting at work, now if only I could convince my doctor of that.
Anyway tomorrow we start week sixteen. I can't believe how quickly time is flying, we're amost halfway through this pregnancy. Auntie Stephanie bought you an adorable little outfit the other day that reminded me how small you are going to be. We also got your first gift last weekend from your cousin Lisa and her family. I can't wait for your to wear the adorably hat and booties she got for you. posted by anonymous

Back Pain & A New Week Begins
My sciatica is driving me INSANE!!! I am so tired of contantly being in pain. I can barely tie my shoes and heaven forbid I drop something on the floor. Ouch! Daddy & I are going to Hawaii next week and all I can think about is floating in the pool and at least for a while not feeling the pain. Ahhh what a relief that will be. In the meantime I am going to count my blessings and remember it could be worse, I could be conducting puke fest 2002.
On a brighter note I am officially 13 weeks today which means we are starting our second trimester...woo hoo!!! The risk of miscarriage has dropped considerably, but not entirely. I have found this pregnancy calendar to be the most accurate online. It shows how far we have come and how far we have left to go. So now that we are diving into week 14 here is what is going on according to Baby Center. Busy week. posted by anonymous

Ouch....I'm Awake Now
Last night I was lost in blissful slumber at 2:30am when my entire calf cramped up into a big knot. I haven't had a leg cramp in ages and the pain startled me awake and sent me into a tryant of wiggles and squirms. Daddy woke up worried that something was seriously wrong with me. I was able to get the works "My Leg" and he massaged it until the cramp stopped. I got up and walked around for a while then went back to sleep. My leg still hurts but nothing like last night. Wow that was painful. posted by anonymous

Where Are My Ankles?
I looked down at my feet and all I saw was ankles. Wow are they swollen. I don't know if it is from the hot humid weather or what. I have cut down considerably on salty foods so I am surprised to be bloated like this. I am sitting here with my feet up hoping that the swelling will go down so I can enjoy my weekend. If its still here tomorrow looks like another day at home for me. posted by anonymous

A Long Holiday Weekend & A New Week Begins
Wow what a hot weekend we had. It got as high as 110 degrees at our house. Let me just say that being pregnant in the heat is not a fun thing. I turned into a virtual shut in and stayed inside with the A/C cranked up all weekend. We did however announce the news of your upcoming arrival to all of our family and friends. Everyone is so thrilled and can hardly wait to meet you. I must say that by far the two most excited people are your Grandma and Grandpa Chapman. Auntie Vera told Grandma that she has a crib for her to keep in her house so you can spend the night. I forsee lots of fun sleepovers in the future.
Today marks the end of week 12 and the start of week 13. According to some sources this is the end of the first trimester, but others say I still have another week to go. Here is what is happening with you this week according to Baby Center. I can't believe how big you are getting. I guess that means I am going to start getting bigger soon too. My only complaint this week is back pain. I think it is sciatica. I called my doctor today and am waiting for her to call me back with a remedy to help make my life a bit more bareable. posted by anonymous
